Matt Robinson

Matt is Deputy Principal at Carshalton Boys Sports College and also a PE specialist graduating from Loughborough University. Matt is now in his 21st year of teaching and his current responsibilities are as professional mentor for a range of training and teaching development experiences to include; Sutton SCITT, Teach First, various PGCE programmes, the NQT programme and the NQT Plus 1 programme.

Matt is currently responsible for curriculum aspects at CBSC and has a wealth of experience in the pastoral domain too. He regularly leads whole school CPD as well as training for the Sutton SCITT. As a PE specialist Matt has taught all areas of the practical activities for many years whilst also developing outstanding GCSE and A Level programmes; the latter currently graded in the top one percentile for pupil progress. This is a consequence of outstanding teaching allied with extremely rigorous structures which are taught through the hub programme.

Carshalton Boys is a specialist Sports College with superb facilities, excellent provision and consistent support which provides an extremely effective environment in which to learn.

 

Stephen Bosdet

 Stephen is the Director of Sport at Carshalton Boys Sports College.  As the lead teacher in the PE and Sport faculty, he is passionate about providing the highest quality opportunity, provision and delivery of PE and school sport for all students regardless of age, background or ability.  Stephen understands the significant role PE and school sport plays in promoting and maintain physical, social and emotional well-being, as well as its positive impacts on confidence, behaviour, attitude and achievement not only in PE but across the whole school.

 

Stephen is the hub lead for the PE programme, where he is committed to developing the practice and processes fundamental for high quality teaching and learning in PE.  Stephen’s other responsibilities include; leading the PE and Sport faculty, Professional Coordinating Mentor, SLT lead for Teach First and BTEC Quality Nominee.

 

The Carshalton Boys Sports College PE department is recognised nationally for its academic and sporting success.  The department has superb facilities, excellent provision and consistent support which provides an extremely effective environment in which to learn.
