Research & Development
Research and development is an exciting area of teaching school development. Research should inform continuing professional development through investigation and development of recommendations to improve pedagogy.
The national research and development network seeks to support teaching school alliances to engage in research and development activities. This work will build a practical understanding of how to address the key issues facing teaching schools as well as an evidence base that can inform schools more widely, supporting the drive to a more evidence-informed profession.
R&D will provide opportunities for training, sharing expertise and wider dissemination of successful practice and provide a forum for networking between teaching school leaders and teachers, so they can learn from and with each other.
The Sutton Secondary Teaching School Alliance sponsors a number of researh projects each year in order to support the growth of evidence based practice within and beyond the Alliance. Please visit the resource hub page to view the research findings and reports we have published so far.
